SSFA COACHING COURSE CALENDAR

Now is a great time to get accredited via FFA Community Coaching Pathway. We will be offering all levels of the FFA Community Coaching curriculum at local venues. These cover courses from Grassroots Certificates to Senior Licence.

No matter which age group you are coaching there is a course specifically matched to your requirements. The courses are practical are largely practical in nature so you will get to experience first-hand some of the latest methods and techniques used in the FFA National Curriculum. You will also receive FFA recognised accreditation, free access to S2S – a great online coaching tool and get to meet fellow coaches with similar objectives.

Course Details

Grassroots Certificate (3 hours)
Cost: Free
Aimed at Coaches of 6 and 7 year olds
When: to be advised
We will advise you at this website once Grassroots courses are scheduled – many clubs are now able to run this certificate so ask your coaching co-ordinator if it is available at your club – please check back to this page for further information. Whilst this course is aimed at coaches of 6 and 7 year olds it is a valuable starting point for all coaches starting out or of junior players

Junior Licence (14 hours)
Cost: $90

Aimed at Coaches of 8-11 year old

Youth Certificate I/II and Licence (21 hours + assessments)
Aimed at Coaches of 12-15 year old
The course consists of 3 parts – Certificate 1, Certificate 2 and Licence. The total course time is around 21 hours + assessments to gain your licence.

Senior Certificate I/II and Licence (21 hours + assessments)
Aimed at Coaches of 16+ year olds
The course consists of 3 parts – Certificate 1, Certificate 2 and Licence. The total course time is around 21 hours + assessments to gain your licence.

Much of the course is practical and most of the work is done in groups and the main role of the presenter is to ensure each candidate understands the course – we will help you to get your coaching qualification in a friendly inclusive environment.

Coaches associated with SSFA clubs will in most instances have this cost paid on their behalf – check with your club. If you are not subsidised by your club you will need to pay either in person or over the phone prior to or on the first day of the course. Contact 9542-3577 for further information.

What do I need to do to register and prepare for my course?

What do I need to bring to a course?

  1. Suitable attire to actively participate in practical sessions – this includes suitable footwear (boots if desired) , shin guards, wet weather gear and towel
  2.  Writing materials, sunscreen, drink bottles – tea and coffee making facilities are available at some venues
