We are pleased to advise that we have set the start date for the SSFA Academy as Monday 27th February 2012.
As you are aware, we have taken the decision to split the Academy into two groups this year, so as to get access to a better quality playing surface on which to train. We have taken the decision that all of the boys squads (U9-U12) will train at The Ridge Fields 9 & 10 each Monday from 6.30 to 8.00pm, with the girls squads (U9-U16) training at Bates Drive, also from 6.30 to 8.00pm.
However, for the first week only, we would like all squads to go to Bates Drive so that we can hand out all your training gear, as well as talk to the group as a whole as to what our expectations and requirements are for squad members.
We are anticipating having all your training gear available for this first Monday, but on the chance that it is not ready, we would encourage you to wear clothing that is appropriate for the first night of training. Whilst there will be a lot do on the first night of training, we do hope to get a little bit of training in.
