Sutherland Titans Football Club will receive a $300 donation from Tradies as part of the club’s ‘Tradies Tribe Give Back Program’, which provides Tradies team members with the opportunity
to give back to community organisations about which they feel passionate.
Three Tradies team members selected Titans Football Club as their cause of choice due to the opportunities it provides for children and young adults with special needs to participate in soccer.
Barry Jones, Liaison Officer for the Association to the Titans, says that the donation will fund playing equipment such as footballs and clothing.
“At Titans, we believe in providing football for all, which is why we focus on creating an environment in which our players can learn the value of participation and physical activity,” said Barry.
“Tradies’ donation will assist us in funding equipment for the club so our players can continue to hone their social skills and develop confidence through soccer,” he continued.
“On behalf of the Titans and Sutherland Shire Football Association, I would like to thank the Tradies Club for their kind donation to the Titans,” Barry added.
This contribution forms part of the $16,500 which has been donated by Tradies through their Give Back program, with other selected organisations including Lifeline, the Sutherland Shire Animal Shelter and the Enough Is Enough Anti Violence Movement.
“Tradies is dedicated to giving back to the community who support us and each year, we donate thousands of dollars and hundreds of volunteer hours through our various initiatives,” said Tim McAleer, Chief Executive Officer of Tradies.
“This program is but another opportunity for Tradies to show its support of local causes about which our team members feel strongly,” he added.
