Metro Far South u12 Girls – 2017 State Titles

The team took on the 2017 state titles tournament at Mudgee last week and showed great character in their performance through each game. In a week full of challenging opponents, 9 games of football and four seasons of weather the girls showed consistency in their spirit and passion for the game.

The natural talent and hard work showed by every player throughout the tournament produced the outcome of fantastic possession based football, which was exciting from start to finish for the parents, spectators and us coaches to watch. The execution of their core skills as well as the ability to maintain a positive brand of football under pressure, and the quality they showed playing within different positions made us coaches very proud. The girls held themselves extremely well and adapted to the many challenges and adversity that each game had to offer.

The teamwork displayed throughout the week was tribute to the bond they created both on and off the pitch, whether it be card games or football games there was always a high, positive energy within the group to create what overall was a fun week for everyone involved.
We are so proud of what the girls accomplished throughout the tournament and we look forward to seeing where football takes you in the future.

Congratulations on an exciting and successful tournament, girls.

Coaches: Raegan Deeley & Genevieve Nisbet.
