SSFA AYL Trials for 2017 season – on line registration now closed

Sutherland Shire Football Association (SSFA) advises that trials for the FNSW Boys Regional Conference Youth (RCY) Association Youth League (AYL) Representative Teams will be held at Harrie Dening Centre, Bates Drive, Kareela.

SSFA advise that the Competition will be structured as follows:

  • FNSW will be operating competitions for Boys Regional Conference Youth (RCY) Association Youth League (AYL) Football in the following age groups:  U13, U14, U15, U16.
  • Players participating in the SSFA AYL teams will be “full time” with the SSFA AYL team and can NOT play for any other club or team.
  • The season is expected to commence in March with Finals scheduled for September. Full details are still to provided by FNSW
  • It is not yet known whether matches will be played on Saturdays or Sundays, flexibility is required. It is expected that the AYL team drawn to play at Home will determine if the AYL matches are to be played on Saturday or Sunday.
  • Eligibility requirements (noted below) have been mandated for players to participate in each AYL team.
  • Training will be as advised by the team Coach.

 Eligibility Criteria:

All AYL players will be required to comply with the following:

  • Participation in the SSFA run AYL is limited to Sutherland Shire Residents only – this is also applicable to attendance at trials. Players will be required to provide proof that they are residents of the Sutherland Shire – appropriate documents to prove residency are as stated in SSFA Rule 4.D (b).
  • Age restrictions do apply. That is, players must be turning the age of the SSFA AYL team in which they are participating. Anybody wishing to be considered for dispensation to trial under RAE will need to contact the SSFA General Manager prior to registering to trial.

Failure to meet these guidelines will result in a loss of AYL place.
