Sutherland Shire Football Association games are played on Council run grounds throughout the Sutherland Shire.

Cronulla Seagulls Soccer Club was formed to compete in the 1959 season. Gordon Gillham thought that a junior soccer club was possible in this area, as Cronulla was a very strong soccer area before World War II. During this inaugural year, the Club performed very well after its humble beginnings, however it was a very hard and trying year.
