2014 SSFA GIRLS DAY a success

SSFA General Manager April 30, 2014 Football News No Comments on 2014 SSFA GIRLS DAY a success

Last Sunday the SSFA held its Girls Day at Seymour Shaw which show cased our eight Senior Women A teams.  The girls greatly appreciated your support with the four games all closely contested affairs with some great skills and play the feature of the day.

Our thanks also to Miranda Magpies, St Pats, Caringbah Redbacks and Lilli Pilli for providing MiniRoo teams who enjoyed a quick game and then led their players onto the field.
Girls Day 2014.1
Whilst it was disappointing that not all Clubs supplied MiniRoo girls, Miranda Magpies young girls deserve a special thanks for not only supporting their own SW A team but for also staying behind to play the Lilli Pilli young girls.  Also, thanks to the Miranda SW A’s for playing a quick game as their warm up with their young Magpies fans.

As we continue to promote girls football in the Sutherland Shire, stay tuned for more special events we have planned this season.

Girls Day 2014.2  ————————————————

The day will feature four high quality games as the best girls club teams in our Association will compete for honours in arguably the most competitive grassroots women’s football league in Australia.

The Sutherland Shire Football Association is the largest grassroots sporting association of any code in Australia with over 5,000 registered female players in 2014.
