COVID-19 Update – Friday 17July 2020

The Chief Health Officer, has written to Community Sporting Organisations (letter attached) . Of particular note is that additional measures are to be taken to protect against the spread of COVID-19, including but not limited to, the following:
• The exclusion of participants (including spectators and officials) if they have visited Victoria in the 14 days prior.
• The exclusion of participants (including spectators and officials) if they have attended any of the reported case locations listed on the NSW Health website (https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/latest-news-and-updates ).
• Take all reasonable steps to minimise the number of spectators attending community sport events. The current/ existing ‘Return to Play’ guidelines already recommend no more than two Parents/ Spectators per player. The general consensus being discussed/ suggested is to limit this to one parent/ spectator per player.

Please be aware of these requirements (including reading the attached) and exclude yourself if the criteria are applicable. In addition, each venue may/ will make its own determination and have relevant processes in this regard (and any such decisions/ requireemnts must be respected and adhered to).

It is also recommended that the official government websites be monitored by interested parties.
