Heathcote Waratahs Football Club is turning 60
From its humble beginnings in 1962 when it didn’t even have its own pitch and all the shirts were hand sewn by the wives of the Committee, and with last year’s new strip paying homage to those original shirts, Heathcote remains a family orientated Club.
With over 400 players HWFC is fast getting back to its heyday of 500 players. Going from strength to strength in its Senior division the last few years and with the advent of a Nursery program this year, players are aged from 3 to 65.
With Stage 1 of the Councils floodlighting upgrade currently underway we look forward to the opportunities this will bring to HWFC and Heathcote.
For a small Club we’re big in the community and known for our welcoming spirit and generosity its what keeps us at the heart of Heathcote. To the Committee, players, supporters, parents and sponsors long may the Mighty Waratahs prosper, thanks to you all.
