SSFA Champions of Champions 24th September

In the heart of Australian football excitement, the Sutherland Shire Football Association (SSFA) recently made waves in the Football NSW Champions of Champions competition. With an impressive display of talent and determination, SSFA sent a total of 15 teams into the arena over a thrilling weekend of competition. What’s more, the SSFA teams left an indelible mark by securing an astonishing 11 victories, setting the stage for an incredible journey through the tournament.

U18 Age Group: A Strong Start

U18 Female: The weekend started with a bang as the Marton FC U18 Female team secured a resounding 5-2 victory over Gladesville Sharks FC.

U18 Male: The Cronulla Seagulls FC U18 Men’s team left spectators in awe with a dominant 12-0 win over Greenacre Eagles FC, showcasing their skill and teamwork.

U16 Age Group: A Tale of Two Teams

U16 Female: Marton FC U16 Female faced a formidable opponent in Bankstown Sports Stars, ultimately being defeated 4-1.

U16 Male: Marton FC U16 Male displayed their dominance with a commanding 7-0 win against Bankstown Sports Strikers, solidifying their status as a formidable team.

U21 Age Group: Success in Men’s Division

U21 Men: The Cronulla Seagulls FC U21 Men’s team soared to victory with a convincing 2-0 win over Greenacre Eagles FC, showcasing their skill and teamwork.

U15 Age Group: Triumph for Both Teams

U15 Female: Lilli Pilli FC U15 Girls faced off against Bankstown Sports Strikers and emerged victorious with a hard-fought 4-2 win, proving that they’re a force to be reckoned with

U15 Male: The Georges River U15 Male team faced tough competition and was ultimately defeated 3-0 by Greenacre Eagles FC, showcasing the competitive nature of the tournament.

U14 Age Group: Success for Males and Females

U14 Female: Lilli Pilli FC U14 Female secured a 3-1 win over Panania Diggers Soccer Club, showcasing their skills and determination.

U14 Male: Gymea United FC U14 Male secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Revesby Rovers Football Soccer Club, a testament to their resilience and determination.

U13 Age Group: Mixed Results

U13 Female: St Patricks FC U13 Female put up a valiant fight, ultimately falling short in extra time with a 1-0 defeat to Bass Hill Rangers FC. Their determination throughout the match was truly commendable.

U13 Male: Engadine Eagles FC U13 Male secured a crucial narrow victory, winning 1-0 against Revesby Rovers Football Soccer Club, highlighting their ability to excel under pressure.

All Age Group: Success in Both Categories

Adult Male: The Como Jannali Soccer Club AAM team showcased their prowess with an impressive 5-3 victory over Rockdale City Suns FC.

Adult Female: The Bosco FC AAW team encountered a formidable adversary in Terrigal United F.C., concluding their journey in this competition with a 7-0 loss. Despite the outcome, their dedication remains unshaken.

Over 35 & 45 Age Group: Victory for the Veterans

Over 35 Men: The Como Jannali Soccer Club O35 Men’s team displayed their experience and skill with an impressive 5-0 win over Revesby Workers FC

Over 45 Men: The Cronulla  Seagulls O45 Men’s team showed their force defeating the Revesby Workers 6-0.
