GSAP 10 v Illawarra Stingrays @ Macedonia Park

The girls travelled to Berkeley to play against a strong Illawarra side nice and early on Sunday morning.
Coach Fil was positive as usual and was encouraging the girls from the moment they arrived until the moment they left. Possession swayed the way of the girls for the most part of the first half. A brave effort from Kirra who was hit with the ball in the face and back of the head 3 times but never gave up.
The girls moved the ball around nicely in passing to each other in space. Our defense held strong with the ball rarely entering our end. A 4 goal haul for Ayla who had a strong performance and a number of shots in target from others.
The girls wore purple socks to raise money and awareness of Pancreatic Cancer.
