SSFA GSAP12 Match Report Round 3 -Sunday 26th March
SSFA GSAP12 Round 3 Game was at Harrie Dening against Manly on Sunday 26th March.
All the girls were a bit nervous before the game as we know Manly is a tough team and we really wanted to play well.
Manly came out strong in defence in the first 10 minutes but we were ready for it as Melissa had spoken to us about our passing and communication early in the game.
The team opened up the scoring with Emerson, with an assist from Ava , from there the game improved and the girls were more confident and playing at their best.
Two more goals followed by Frankie and Kristina which put us on top at half time.
We came out in the second half strong in defence and attack, the team were passing the ball well and making good decisions. More goals followed, Kristina scored 3 more and Frankie got another one.
Manly had their chances but our defence was strong, and Georgia had another great game in goals. Every player did their job and we had strength in every position. It was a great team performance, and we were so happy to play well as a team and get the win.
An extra special mention to Anastasia who had a great game. She never game up in defence and also had some great runs with the ball and put through passes to give us scoring opportunities. Anastasia was awarded player of the match.
