Round 1 – Sunday 11th March SSFA GSAP 12s vs NWS (Koalas) Spirit
On Sunday 12th March we were all excited to play our first game of the season at our home ground.
In the first half NWS came out strong in attack and had a few attempts at goal. Our defence held them out and stopped them from scoring, as well as Georgia defending the goal.
We finished the first half getting a couple of great goals by Emerson and Lexi!
In the second half we played a lot better, we passed the ball around more and attacked well. We turned the game around and scored some amazing goals in the second half by Frankie, Lucy & Emerson scoring two each & a lucky one from me.
Stasia scored our last goal off a great corner kick from Emerson, this is something we have been practicing at training & has helped/paid off in our game.
Kristina was the Player of the Match, this was really deserved, as her tackling was amazing and she stopped NWS from getting past.
It was a great win to start off the season. Everyone played well.
