SSFA Late Registrations

This year we processed over 1500 late registrations. While many of these are relatively straightforward, a number created extra work and discussion. Each year considerable time and effort is spent grading teams. Attention is given to the playing history of every player on the grading sheet. In the past, many players waited until grades had been assigned before deciding whether to sign up. This isn’t fair on those teams who had presented a full squad to be graded before the grading cut-off date. Consequently, to help retain the integrity of the grading process a hard line is taken on players registering late who wish to play in a grade lower than their recent playing history.

This practice is applied consistently and complies with the SSFA rules which state that any late registrations need to be considered based upon the following criteria – playing history, skill level, age, health or disability and team hardship.
